New President and members in the Board of the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary

Changes in MPPFH

The renewed Advisory Board of the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary has been established on a whole new basis with reforms coming into existence on 28 April 2010.

Among its essential plans are the modernisation of the Foundation’s organisation as well as its decision-making system starting with a total check-through at all three levels (organisational, economical and legal). MPPFH’s new operational strategy is aiming at public transparency in the decision-making from both a financial and professional point of view.

Short news - 2009
The Hungarian Film Commission that works within the framework of the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary attends 10th time this year the Location Trade Show in Los Angeles.
This year, right before the opening of the Location Show, the Film Commission organizes a business meeting between  Hungarian filmmakers and representatives of the American Film Industry. This networking event offers a great opportunity to present the advantages of the Hungarian Film Law and the Hungarian film production rebate.

John Adams in Hungary
John Adams, the mini-series received 4 Golden Globe prizes in 2009. The mini-series were partly shot in Hungary. About 150 Hungarian crew members worked on the set during the 7 week shooting on several locations and in the Mafilm studios, as well. The two-times Oscar winner Tom Hanks, the executive producer of John Adams thanked the hard work of the Hungarian professionals when accepted the awards.
